Character Development
Our intent is to provide high-quality enrichment, meaningful experiences, and strong personal growth for every pupil.
We aim to develop:
- Responsible, respectful, and active citizens who contribute positively to society
- Understanding of British values – democracy, individual liberty, rule of law, mutual respect, and tolerance
- Character and confidence – fostering resilience, integrity, and motivation to learn eagerly and cooperate well
- Mental and physical wellbeing – promoting healthy lifestyles, balanced nutrition, and active participation
- Healthy relationships through age-appropriate relationships and sex education
We promote:
- Equality, inclusion, and respect for diversity – recognising that differences make us unique
- An inclusive environment where every pupil feels valued, regardless of background or identity
We enable pupils to:
- Recognise risks and stay safe – both online and offline, including awareness of exploitation, abuse, and extremism
- Use technology responsibly – understanding the dangers of inappropriate use of mobile devices and social media
We support:
- Readiness for the next stage – equipping pupils with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to transition successfully to further education and beyond
