Computing

At Hethersett VC Primary School, our Computing Curriculum equips children to be confident, creative, and safe members of the digital world.

We recognise the value of a high-quality, robust, and future-focused computing education. Every pupil is entitled to develop fundamental skills, essential knowledge, and lifelong understanding that will prepare them for an increasingly digital society.

Computing is:

  • An essential subject, a cross-curricular tool, and a gateway to innovation
  • Integrated into everyday learning, linked to real-life applications, and designed to inspire curiosity
  • A source of transferable skills across all subjects, supporting creativity and problem-solving

Our curriculum is supported by the Teach Computing programme, developed by the National Centre for Computing Education and funded by the Department for Education.

Our aim is clear: children will leave school digitally literate, equipped with skills to use technology effectively, and committed to using it responsibly.
