At Hethersett VC Primary School, our Breakfast and After School Clubs are available daily (term-time only) to offer your child a warm and welcoming wraparound childcare facility.  Both these clubs are situated in a dedicated self-contained building within the school site.

Breakfast Club

This club runs from 7.45-8.45am each morning by three members of the school staff team.  The children are offered a choice of breakfast favourites such as cereals, fruit juice, toast or crumpets with various toppings, poached or scrambled eggs etc.  Fresh fruit is always available.

After breakfast, the children can enjoy various activities until it is time for them to join their classes for registration.

After School Club

The children come straight to the after school club from their classes when the school day ends.  The register is taken before 3.30 pm so that if any child has not arrived, a phone call can be made to ensure they are safe.   

After registration, children are offered various activities including art and craft, cookery, ICT and board and floor games.  If the weather is fine, they can go outside to play on the school’s outdoor equipment.   

A snack is served at approximately 4.00 pm.  This consists of apple or orange juice, fresh fruit and then, for example, cheese or beans on toast, pitta bread, crumpets etc. 

The activities continue until you arrive to collect your child.  All children must be collected by 6pm.
