History: VE Day
As it is the 75th Anniversary of VE Day, we have found some activities to help you celebrate at home.
What is VE Day?
VE Day marked Victory in Europe, the day World War 2 officially ended in Europe. For information about what VE Day is please look at the PowerPoint below and there is lots of information on this Newsround page for you to use.
Celebrating
In 1945, people celebrated VE Day with bunting, parades and parties. Whilst we can't do all of that today, we have a great guide for making your own 1940's style party at home. There are even suggested songs and dances!
A great, creative way to celebrate is to make your own bunting. BBC have released this Great British Bunting which includes templates and guides to help you with your designs. We would love to see what you create so please send us pictures of your finished bunting.
